Misty Fjords National Monument
Covering over two million acres (9,000 sq km) of the Tongass National Forest, the Misty Fjords National Monument is a rich coastal ecosystem composed of fjords, glaciers, granite cliffs, natural canals, marine life, wildlife and bird species. Access to this remote region is via cruise ships or flightseeing trips from nearby Ketchikan and Juneau.
